DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure, platform reliability, security controls, and operational maturity.

As our customer base grows and our ecosystem expands, maintaining a highly available, secure, and scalable product becomes increasingly critical. This role will be responsible for ensuring our platform remains reliable at scale while leading the implementation and ongoing management of controls.

This is a hands-on engineering role with significant influence over architecture, security, automation, observability and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Reliability & Operations

• Own the availability, reliability, and performance of production environments.
• Design and maintain highly resilient cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor platform health and proactively identify performance bottlenecks.
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis activities.
• Establish and maintain service reliability objectives and operational metrics.

Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Improve deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Streamline operational processes through automation and tooling.
• Support scalable growth across development, staging, and production environments.
• Ensure infrastructure remains cost-effective and operationally efficient.

Security & Compliance

• Support risk assessments, audits, evidence collection, and compliance initiatives.
• Drive vulnerability management, patching, and infrastructure hardening activities.
• Collaborate with leadership to maintain security best practices across the platform.

Observability & Resilience

• Enhance monitoring, alerting, logging, and diagnostics capabilities.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Implement backup, recovery, and resilience strategies.
• Improve visibility into system health, application performance, and customer experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment reliability and developer experience.
• Support product and customer-facing teams during critical escalations.
• Contribute to technical architecture and platform planning discussions.
• Provide guidance on operational best practices and security standards.

About You

You’re a hands-on DevOps professional who enjoys building reliable systems, automating complex processes, and creating secure products and services that scale.

Desired Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Strong experience managing cloud-based production environments.
• Proven track record supporting SaaS platforms at scale.
• Experience managing mission-critical systems with high availability requirements.

Technical Skills

• Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
• CI/CD tools and deployment automation.
• Containerisation and orchestration technologies.
• Monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
• Networking, security, and identity management.
• Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

Nice to Have

• MSP or SaaS product experience.
• Security certifications or cloud certifications.
• Familiarity with cyber security products.
